25 ways to decorate your stairs & banisters this Christmas!

Hello dear Christmas friends!

It's a been a busy week at our place and now I am on school holidays I am very excited about catching up with my Christmas bloggy friends and finding some new ideas for my Christmas decorating from Pinterest.

I always struggle with decorating for Christmas Down Under. For a start it's summer so it seems strange putting up wintry decorations. I also don't have a fireplace so I don't have anywhere to hang my stockings! Luckily I have found some fun and festive alternative ways to hang our stockings... with care!

Here are 25 ways to decorate your stairs and
banisters this Christmas!

  1. Yes Natasha, I was thinking I would love to decorate for a 'down under' summer Christmas this year too but I'm not a very good ideas person. And I love the reds and greens of a northern Christmas. So I will be interestd to see what you put up for us, will maybe pinch some of your ideas :D)

I hope you're not missing your Maddy too much, she's going to have a fabulous time by the look of things.

  2. Very pretty, Natasha. 'Makes me wish we had stairs to decorate!

  3. Beautiful Pictures i like it "Christmas" very much.....greetings from Holland...

  4. Thanks for the inspiration, Natasha!

  5. Good to get the ideas flowing early. My entryway is quite small and I would like to make a great impact. I think there are some good ideas here but I draw the line at getting a decorative Yorkie dog. Lol.

  6. Love these ideas. I have the same problem, no fireplace. My stairs are right in the middle of the open-floor plan house, so decorating them is a great idea. I'm pinning your post for future reference.

  7. Great ideas! Love the plaid stockings in one of the photographs.

  8. What great ideas! I really like the snowflakes because they are so unusual.
    All of them were stunning!
Cant wait to decorate for Christmas, just one more month before we can break out the candy canes and eggnog!

  9. Love this! And I'm so happy I stumbled upon this blog!! I LOVE Christmas (so much so that I start listening to Christmas music in August) so I'll be visiting often for ideas! New follower :)

  10. Fall greetings to everyone and hello from an Amish community in Pennsylvania. Richard from Amish Stories.

tme deciding which stair i like the best
and preplan this year. i loved so many
    of these!

  13. Hi Natasha, I'm a fellow Aussie (waving from sunny Brissie) and I'd love to know if you are having another Christmas Linky Party soon? I'm planning my own series and would love to link up in late Nov if possible!

Thanks for the inspiration, some great ideas in here :)

  14. What a great post, good to get me into the Christmas spirit early. I really like the idea of branches decorated for the stairs. We always have trimmings from trees left over so i will definately consider putting them up with a few baubles.

  16. This is nice. A great variety and most affordable and easy enough for the average person to do.

Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself...
